ANNOUNCEMENT August 26, 2000 In accordance with the Emergency Amendment to the Bylaws (4/26/2000) Emergency Preamble #D: "Excepting as required by the Act, the Board of Directors shall have no authority other than (1) the maintenance and preservation of ALHN, Inc.'s name, lists, logos, domain and domain's contents; (2) publication of notices; (3) conducting votes and elections; (4) election of officers; and (5) creation of committeess;" The Board formally approved, on August 7, 2000, the following pre-incorporation positions to be filled by ALHN, Inc. membership election. These are Web Ring Master, Topics Webmaster, and States Webmaster. Therefore, nominations and elections for these three (3) positions are scheduled as follows: NOMINATIONS OPEN ELECTIONS Web Ring Master Aug 29, 10am-Sep 1, 10am Sep 2, 10am-Sep 4, 10am Topics Webmaster Sep 2, 10am-Sep 5, 10am Sep 6, 10am-Sep 8, 10am States Webmaster Sep 6, 10am-Sep 9, 10am Sep 10,10am-Sep 12, 10am All times given are east coast times. Announcements will be posted to the ALHN- Membership Voting, when nominations are open for each position. Nominations are to be sent by private email to Kathy Leigh at kroseleigh@h... **AND** Barb Lavin at irishsun1@j... Nominations are not to be posted to any of the ALHN mailing lists as they will not be considered. Those members who are nominated will be given until one hour before the opening of the polls to accept their nomination. If a nominee has not accepted their nomination by 10 p.m. EDT on the day of the start of the election, their names will not be placed on the ballot.
