This is a picture of my daughter, her best friend and I, August 2000.

We are celebrating my daughter's new townhouse at the university where she is majoring in Marine Biology and Psychology with a goodbye dinner in Annapolis, Maryland.  The reason that my daughter is majoring in these subjects and the reason that I became interest – no devoted – to genealogy was because my daughter’s twin sister died of Cystic Fibrosis in April 1982.  My daughter has seen the work done with farm animals and children who are from families with problems and has also been part of several programs working with Dolphin (we have all swam with them including my mother who is in her seventies and it is the most wonderful adventure of my life).  It is her hope that she will some day be able to help all children with whatever problem they may have to relate with the marine mammals and find a happiness.  My daughter's best friend who became her replacement "twin" shares her dream.  My desire is like daughter’s.  I truly hope to help people like me who have never heard of the terrible diseases that kill our children until it happens to us, learn WHY, WHOM, WHERE FROM, I too am on a quest – like my daughter – and I hope that whatever I do, whomever it may help, will know that I have felt the pain too and would like, in my very small way, to help.

My sister (she is standing behind my daughter on the left); my mother and I standing.  My daughter and her best friend are sitting.
